Dr Chuah is a highly trained consultant eye surgeon from the UK, subspecialising in eyelid, tear duct and eye socket diseases. Dr Chuah’s advanced training included oculoplastic, lacrimal & orbital fellowship at the Leicester Royal Infimary UK when Dr Chuah worked with renowned oculoplastic and orbital surgeons - Dr Tristan McMullan, Dr Joyce Burns & Dr Raghavan Sampath.

MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, bachelor of Surgery) by the University of Liverpool UK

Prior to returning to Malaysia, Dr Chuah spent over 17 years in the UK during which Dr Chuah worked in prestigious tertiary eye centres in the UK including the Wirral University hospital, the Royal Wolverhampton Eye hospital, the Royal Hallamshire Teaching (Sheffield) hospital and the Leicester Royal Infirmary. Over the years, Dr Chuah has performed thousands of cataract surgeries as well as managed complex eyelid, tear duct and eye socket diseases including thyroid eye disease.
Dr Chuah is active in audit, research and education. Dr Chuah actively carries out audit to safeguard the highest standard of medical practice. Dr Chuah has published extensively in prestigious scientific journals including the Lancet, the Eye, the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the Journal of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery, the Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Dr Chuah has presented at international conferences. Dr Chuah is a reviewer of the prestigious Eye journal (the official journal of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists UK).
Dr Chuah believes in good doctor-patient communication and actively gives clear explanation to his patients. Dr Chuah focuses on educating his patients in order to solve his patients' problems.
